It’s probably safe to say that most of us never anticipate moving back in with our folks, but it can happen for all kinds of reasons. Maybe your neighborhood got hot and your landlord jacked up the rent. Maybe you’re trying to figure out where to go (on multiple levels) after a breakup. Or maybe you’re just trying to save some money for the right place of your own.
Mark Feuerstein, the show’s executive producer and star, can relate. Several years ago, while shooting a television show in New York, the actor lived in an apartment next door to his parents. Feuerstein survived that period and its mortifying experiences and used them as inspiration for 9JKL.
